Well, I'm going to go ahead and start posting this since it's awfully late. Still WIP but I have the basics of it outlined and am making progress.

This is the start of my belated [livejournal.com profile] sixathon entry, for [livejournal.com profile] merryghoul, in response to the prompt: Six + Martha: he knows he's not supposed to meet her now and he needs her help, but he's too stubborn to admit it.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elisi for a quick once-over on the dialogue at the beginning.

Title: Apocrypha
Author: [livejournal.com profile] eve11
Rating: PG-13 for some violence
Word Count: ~3300 (part 1)
Summary: Legends of the Year That Never Was. It wasn't until she reached Preston that Martha heard tell of the Mad Motley Angler.

Well, technically the first one was like, a five-minute ficlet. Prompts and timing provided by [livejournal.com profile] pocky_slash, thanks very much! I don't write very fast, so these are short (also full disclosure, the title for the last one I just came up with now, and it took me another 10 minutes to decide). All are Doctor Who, Eleventh era. Posting here for posterity.

Prompt 1: Lock, 77 words, no spoilers )

Prompt 2: Letter, 133 words, spoilers for TATM )

Prompt 3: Morning, 100 words, no spoilers )

First time writing the Fourth Doctor. Unbetaed, though mercilessly stripped from nearly 5000 characters to the 4300 for the single comment fic: Procedure.

OMG Words!

722 words, to be exact, wrapping up Round 1 of the Flash Fiction Comment-a-Thon! I pinch hit for the last outstanding era, Three, with Moving Day. It's my first writing of either of these characters, and it's unbeta'ed on account of me being impatient. Feedback/Britpicking welcome.
eve11: (dw_tardis_beautiful_idiot)
This is a comment fic for [livejournal.com profile] mollivanders over at the multifandom women in fic comment-fic-athon. She requested: Doctor Who, Idris//The Tardis: she's seen them all

So as the TARDIS is multidimensional, I decided to try some parallel construction.

I wrote something... that I will cop to at least for those ficreaders who are not coworkers or family members ;) Because it is ridiculous H/C songfic.

Title: Songs in the Key of Run
Author: [livejournal.com profile] eve11
Rating: G, General Audiences, Fluff and a bit of angst, H/C
Word count: ~1300
Summary: "A song," he said. "I think it just gets stuck in my head when we're in mortal peril."
Notes: Written for an anon request for Eleven/Rory fluff: Rory sings the Doctor to sleep. And yeah, I know, but I apparently can't resist protective Rory and hurt Doctor. *sighs* This is friendship fic, not slashy. I keep throwing the two of them into empty buildings.

Not finished yet on the [livejournal.com profile] who_at_50 assignment. But definitely moving forward. I was thinking of posting what I have so far on the comm, but I want to wait until it's done. It's a bit raw right now. So... I'll just post it here.

It mentions some history from the story "Winter" in the Big Finish audio "Circular Time" (synopsis here). It takes place after the Wedding of River Song. Possibly?

I snagged Six for the first round of the Flash Fiction Comment-a-thon. The prompt was "Celebration" and my response is entitled Recurrence Relations, with Six, Evelyn Smythe and the TARDIS.

~600 words, all ages, gen, no warnings. Takes place (sort of) after Evelyn stays on Vilag to marry Rossiter. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] the_redjay for Britpick and beta.

Guys, I got a new icon specifically for this :D

Anyhow, here is a link to my creative vision over at the [livejournal.com profile] who_at_50 comm. It's been a while since I did fic-writing games and exercises like we used to do back on the old Leviathan email list. So this is kind of a fanfiction flash-fiction writing game, with the goal of filling out a big matrix-of-awesome, eventually (if we can get 12 rounds). I hope it's not too rule-bound to get participants.

Anyway, Round 1 is up as well, so if you get a flash of inspiration for a short scene or story, claim it and we can get the ball rolling :D

I wrote 1200 words! Not of the WIP-o-Doom. This is a snippet of a story from an anonymous prompt "OFC and a magical avocado that makes them a companion"--that came out at about the same time [livejournal.com profile] clocketpatch was set to return to North America and was lamenting leaving giant avocados behind in the South Pacific.

She maintains that she was not, in fact, the prompter of said prompt.

But anyhow, it planted an idea. I wrote a beginning a while back, and another snippet just tonight. I don't know what to call it yet. "The Green Death" is already taken. It is unbetaed, only hastily researched, and hopefully not culturally egregious so far (if anybody with firsthand experience of PNG wants to help me out, let me know!).

(Not to be called) The Green Death: 1/? )

Title: Closure
author: [livejournal.com profile] eve11
Words: ~1000
Rating: G
Summary: An argument. A paperweight. A bounded infinite space.
Characters: Eleven, River. Vignette, Humor, slightly angsty.
Written for [livejournal.com profile] a_phoenixdragon who requested: The Doctor has a Menger Sponge on the console. River asks about it. Aw, you know I love a good mathematical metaphor.

Unbeta'ed, as is, all mistakes mine, etc. (ETA: and edited, 9pm, arg, writerly fail, sorry if it mucks things up.)

[livejournal.com profile] ladymercury_10 gave me a plot bunny for the Power of Three. I said it would be a 100-word drabble. Yeah, more like 1400. Unbeta'ed lark, all mistakes my own.

Title: Sage Advice
Author: [livejournal.com profile] eve11
Word Count: ~1400
Category: Gen, Humor
Summary: The Doctor keeps busy by calling up on an old friend.
Spoilers for The Power of Three. Eleven, Craig, Sophie

I was going through my old college notebooks tonight, compiling some of the margin conversations that Colleen and I used to have in boring math classes. Except most of the time I would write on my notebook and she would write on hers, so mostly I only have my side of the conversation, minus a few. Classes that generated the most conversations seemed to be Math 230H (Vector Calc, Wells) and Math 312 (Foundations of Calculus, Ware).

At any rate, I came across what may be one of the earliest "fanfics" I wrote, likely in the summer of 1997 when I was 19 years old. Hand-written on unlined paper (1 sheet, front and half of the back), it goes like this:

'Hey folks! Create your own Mulder/Scully dialog in 12 easy steps!' )

for finishing my thesis draft. Today I've shored up a little snippet that's been simmering half-done for a few months now. It's just a bit, a part of an interlude which is in turn part of the WIP-that-ate-my-brain. 620 words

Rating: G (Gratuitious nerd humor)
Summary: Instead of Configurable Analog Transmitter Stack, box contained vermin. Would not buy again.
Author's note: For an Anonymous prompt: Eleven + box of kittens. You know you want this. For some reason these elements led in only one direction in my mind.

Somewhere in the early twenty-first century, in the civilization known as Earth--likely in a nondescript location in a North American town with ample wireless hotspots and a name like Buford, or Richland, or Gibsonia--there is a secret workshop.

I wrote something else! Still well within my apparent summer theme of "shamelessly beating up on Eleven" but hey, strike when the iron's hot, right?

Title: Don't Wander Off
Word Count: ~850
Rating: G, gen, I'd feel okay showing it to my parents, what-have-you :)

Somebody better write Spoilery topic from the Pandorica Opens ) or I'm going to have to do it myself!

Oh, fine. Okay.

Spoilers for "The Pandorica Opens", ~500 words, unbetaed, as-is, speculative for "The Big Bang" though not necessarily spoiler-informed, but those who've seen fewer spoilers than me and who don't want to know thing one might want to skip it.

I was stymied for months trying to come up with an entry for the Short Trips contest. Then at 9pm Monday night (the story was due at 7pm Tuesday, my time), the first scene from the story below stuck itself into my head and the rest gelled together as an idea (grabbing bits and pieces from the other ideas that had been swirling in my head basically as orbits to this as-yet-unseen one) in about 5 minutes. I spent the next day writing it all down. Below is the story after I poked at it for a few days and refined it from its rough inception.
