I wrote something... that I will cop to at least for those ficreaders who are not coworkers or family members ;) Because it is ridiculous H/C songfic.

Title: Songs in the Key of Run

Summary: "A song," he said. "I think it just gets stuck in my head when we're in mortal peril."
Notes: Written for an anon request for Eleven/Rory fluff: Rory sings the Doctor to sleep. And yeah, I know, but I apparently can't resist protective Rory and hurt Doctor. *sighs* This is friendship fic, not slashy. I keep throwing the two of them into empty buildings.

When I saw this, I thought, did eve11 write this? It's so good and it even has the White Stripes. And then I was like, no, it could't be.

LOL, yeeeeah, that was me. I am such a White Stripes fangirl. And I don't really even follow them; I just like every song I've heard.

I had actually been thinking of that song as like, the perfect Doctor/River song, for quite some time. It wanted to work it's way into the WIP-o-Doom somewhere but that wasn't going to work anywhere. So when I saw the prompt I was like, "Yes, okay, I can do this . . ." ;D

.....Okay I'm back! ~Ooh White Stripes. I've not heard them in ages. Friend!fic is awesome, too. I love the angst, and the H/C, especially with putting in those little flashbacks. The idea of the Doctor being forced to share 'em is both good and bad, but that works well. Rory playing nurse is especially wonderful, because it reminds me of the trust there has to be between a nurse and a doctor in medicine, and I'd not thought of that before.

Ha, I think I'm about 10 years behind on music trends on average, but I do like the White Stripes (also Jack White's new album Blunderbuss too).

Aw, this was so cute. And Amy and River rescue them in the end. :-D

I liked the idea that the Doctor's touch telepathy was super sensitive and Rory was getting glimpses into the Doctor's mind and vice versa. I don't think they've ever done that on the show.

Thanks! I like to play around with the alien-ness of the Doctor's perceptions (especially Eleven). If I ever post my giant WIP-o-Doom it deals with a lot of that kind of idea as well.
