Title: Principal Components
Author:

Rating: General Audiences up through mild teen for violence
Summary: Anyone could last two months in prison. After an adventure in 1969 goes wrong, River has to infiltrate an isolated base in the US desert to rescue the Doctor from captivity at the hands of military scientists. By the time she discovers the lengths they have gone to learn the Doctor's secrets, it may be too late to save either of them.
Notes:This started out in January 2011 as a "what if" story from a prompt based on the series 6 trailer. Then it kept going. Many years later, it's been adapted and updated and retro-fitted and is still going on. Many thanks to those who have given me encouragement and helpful betas along the way:
clocketpatch,
ladymercury_10,

nonelvis,
vattelapesca, and various anons on the meme where it began for all their feedback and cheerleading. You are all the best.

Fandom stocking!
Jan. 11th, 2014 01:05 pmI have only been sporadically getting comment notifications in Dreamwidth, which is frustrating since I spent the 6th going through many stockings who requested recipes and putting in fills, along with a few recs here and there, and now I can't quite remember who/where I filled everything. But I will track them down, eventually.
Anyway, I got some lovely gifts! See them here. They include DW stories from
clocketpatch and
sahiya who wrote me Ponds and Eleventy friendship fics, a sensual Eleven/River piece from
nonelvis with linguistics and lovemaking, an Eleven + TARDIS drabble (with link to a lovely banner as well), from
kaffyr, and Six being flustered on trying to figure out how best to empty a crowded theater (saved by resourceful Evelyn of course) from
lost_spook. I got some Seventh Doctor icons from
liadtbunny, and some recs, greetings, recipes and links.
As I noted, I filled a few stockings here and there with recs, links, and recipes. I also produced 3 things:
-------
Four Alfred Burke icons for
lost_spook, and links to the images and sources to deepen her dilemmas on attempts to obtain such media (It's Alfred Burke in a hat! But the film looks dreadful!! But it can be obtained for under 3 pounds! What to do?)
Podfic of 'Looking Beyond', for
clocketpatch, a sweet little Seven and Ace story of hers, written from an OC POV. Oh, I also gave her a new recipe that I'd just tried out too (and that I need to archive here): roasted beets and sweet potatoes in plum vinaigrette (this one was also partly inspired by
livii who gave me a recipe for balsamic crockpot sweet potatoes).
With All Certainty, 930 words for
kaffyr. "Where have you been for three hundred years?" Eleven and the TARDIS. Spoilers for the Christmas special.
--------
:D Thanks to everyone who gave me gifts. Been a bit hectic around here the last week or so but these have brightened my day immensely (and continue to do so!)

Well, I'm going to go ahead and start posting this since it's awfully late. Still WIP but I have the basics of it outlined and am making progress.
This is the start of my belated
sixathon entry, for
merryghoul, in response to the prompt: Six + Martha: he knows he's not supposed to meet her now and he needs her help, but he's too stubborn to admit it.
Thanks to

Well, technically the first one was like, a five-minute ficlet. Prompts and timing provided by
pocky_slash, thanks very much! I don't write very fast, so these are short (also full disclosure, the title for the last one I just came up with now, and it took me another 10 minutes to decide). All are Doctor Who, Eleventh era. Posting here for posterity.

First time writing the Fourth Doctor. Unbetaed, though mercilessly stripped from nearly 5000 characters to the 4300 for the single comment fic: Procedure.
OMG Words!
Apr. 13th, 2013 12:04 am722 words, to be exact, wrapping up Round 1 of the Flash Fiction Comment-a-Thon! I pinch hit for the last outstanding era, Three, with Moving Day. It's my first writing of either of these characters, and it's unbeta'ed on account of me being impatient. Feedback/Britpicking welcome.
