Modeling!
Everything is attached, except that the thin gold trim along the very bottom all fell off. Fabri-tac fail. I will have to reattach it, perhaps using thread. But oh, my fingers hurt SO MUCH from attaching the last pieces of the band tonight. Not the easiest thing to sew through, vinyl. I should learn how to make hats out of hat material. There was a lot of dropping needles and messing up and trying to tie off ends inside of a cylindrical object with no easy way of anchoring thread. There was also a lot of cursing.
Anyway, I also detached the headband thing, which had been attached, but detaching it actually made it easier to get on and off, so that's good. I can put the headband on first and mostly get the hat over around it. I think on mine the snake piece looks higher than in the screencaps, but I think that also may be because the cut-out for her forehead is slightly larger than mine. Mine is only about an inch. I think hers might be like 1.5. So the tip of the snake piece almost rests on top of her forehead.
Ah well, the back shape of my hat isn't exactly right either. but I am pretty pleased with it :) Maybe after I get the rest of the outfit done (and after DragonCon) I'll go back and try to get the shape of the front opening a little better. I can cut the vinyl and cover the edge with wider gold trim. Or, you know, call it good enough as is.
Now I just have to do the rest of the outfit... in 4 weeks... O_O
