Yeeeeeaaaahhhhh....like the top 26 "cult" TV shows since the people who wrote the article were born, obviously sometime in the mid-90's. I guess we've never heard of silly little shows like The Twilight Zone, Classic Trek, Fraggle Rock, Scooby Doo, and plenty of others that are left as an exercise to the reader.
Yeah, I figured ST:TNG was more maistream than cult? But it also brings up an interesting question. What era can claim cult classic TV? Back before basic cable, there really wasn't that much choice in the matter? A show was either very short lived, or it satisfied enough of the people to bat with the big guys. Even in the mid 70's I'll bet this was the case. The cult shows were probably like, late night shows first?
Ohhh, I actually know a lot of those shows! Though, I'm surprised that a lot of those shows were a lot more recent (I expected to see TNG and Twilight Zone), though that may raise the question of what defines a cult favorite.
