Thanks to everyone who's signal boosted and participating in the friending meme!. I think it is going really well. 59 participants and nearly 300 comments so far! (ALL going to my inbox... yikes, but at least they are all threaded in gmail :D). We still have new folks coming on, so keep up the pimping and the awesome levels of friendliness in the comments. You guys are all amazing.

Today is laundry/vacuum/watch football day, but I have also managed to reboot my iPod and put music on it (it's been dead since mid-September); and I'm all ready to start dl-ing new BFAs for the commute. It's been long enough that I can probably bank two or three weeks' worth of adventures even listening to one a day.

Other things in the queue are the long-delayed Chicago TARDIS post (I know, I know, broken record!), starting Round 1 of a multi-era Flash fiction comment-a-thon over at who_at_50 (I have a draft but want to make sure of logistics), and there are rumblings of doing another sixathon ficathon but maybe not until after the holidays and some work commitments and travel at the start of next year.

I am glad the friending meme has been such a success! It has been lots of fun, too, to see things like how people started watching and what their favorites are for people I already know. :)

Hooray for iPod-fixing! And happy laundry/vacuuming/watching football. Which reminds me that I should be studying and not being on LJ. Oops. I dug out Mathematica and used it to compute my current average and what I need to get on the final to get an A, that counts as studying, right? :P

Yes, iPod fixing! I can finally go back to listening to music when I'm running on the treadmill! and not whatever Taylor Swift-ian stuff they pump over the speakers into the room either.

Ha, not sure that's quiiiite studying. But a huge part of studying for finals is messing around while studying. It's important. Otherwise the real stuff doesn't have time to sink in.

I'm glad it was a success as well! It's great seeing a bunch of new folks out there, though some of the hating made me cringe a bit. I tend to err on the Polyanna side of things.

I walked out of the apartment with :22 seconds left of the Eagles game, so I missed the comeback they did over Tampa Bay. I'm pretty impressed that they pulled it out. Poor Steelers and Ravens. The NFL is going to be my cover at work.

I have got to check out some BFAs. I'm been trying to muse where to start. I also downloaded the Alex Kingston-voiced "The Angel's Kiss," which will be a pure eargasm.

Ah, yeah, the Steelers did not fare well today. Glad to hear the Eagles came back though! I think they're done with Vick; I don't know. Did they fire Andy Reid yet?

I thought overall that it was pretty well-balanced. There were some people who voiced rather strong opinions against a few characters, but nothing too extreme. Actually I purposefully didn't put a "Don't like" option on the stock form but there was an "anything else" option so if the dislike or squick was important enough to the author they could post it. I had debated "turn-offs" but decided against it; hopefully there won't be too many "backing away slowly" incidents after friending O_O

For the classic era, I can suggest some good places to start with different doctors in the Monthly Series run. Alternatively the newer BBC7 series that start with Eight and Lucie Miller are a good place to jump in.

Good question! Wow, and really difficult to answer. The ones that stand out in my mind are all really good but all radically different, and some require some backstory.

For best overall? Right now, I've decided on The Holy Terror. But I might change my mind if asked again.

I have a dwaudioreview tag, but many of them are spoilery. I wrote a long review of The Holy Terror but it's definitely spoilery and I'd definitely recommend listening to the story first.

Yeah, I had to restore my iPod to factory settings but I can set it back up again with most of the stuff that got wiped, from duplicate sources. I had a lot of Big Finish audio plays on there, old ones, that I don't particularly need to put back on there unless I feel like re-listening to them at some point. And I just need music for running on the treadmill. So, Progress! :D
