I squealed over that! I also loved the nod to the bots in LKH, lol! Oh my. That was fantastic. Saved and favved the Author. Definitely need more brilliant writers to read. I'm greedy like that.

Her other DW stuff is fantastic too; she's got a series that is imaginative and plotty and creative and has more of that fantastic dialogue and everything. It starts with the story called Stormcage and I think the latest one is Icefall. Better than some of the official novels. Check it out if you have an afternoon or three. :)

ETA: Double checking... it's three stories: The Doctor is Out, Stormcage, and Icefall. Icefall I think can be read as standalone but seems to take place after the first two if you know them. All fantastic.

Riddell 'experienced a tingling sensation and then death'. I cackled. I know that's terrible, but I was so surprised, I actually cackled. Just - phenomenal.

Ohhh, yeah. Definitely plan to check it all out. You know, that's what I love about Fandom. You can find a good writer (or several of them) and enjoy their work and bathe in the awesome without risking the disappointment of the 'official stuff' which sometimes falls WAY short of the mark. I have been utterly spoiled by fanfiction, lol!!

Right?! I struggled to imagine him in aviator leather though. I was all 'really?!' and grinning like an idiot. Then the brandy moment!! 'You drink this? Are you ill?' *Guffaws* so perfectly, perfectly Eleven! Another one of those fics that make me wish I had his twittering on that perfect. Brilliant. The whole fic has that zany, bouncy, zig-zag feel of Eleven himself. And the humor with that serious edge just underneath it.
