Earthquake? In Pittsburgh? Actually I suppose it was up and down the East coast, like a 5.8 centered in Virginia. And here only a few months ago I'd said I liked my odds for the Beaver Valley Nuke plant! (Ah, the odds are still okay for that, I think.)

Colorado had a big (for them) earthquake earlier this morning too. This one just kinda felt like somebody rattling my office for about 5 seconds. Like I was on a jolty roller coaster going around a turn, but not fast, just rickety. My fb page lit up though; folks from DC to NY felt it.

It was an odd feeling... I even got to see my wine bottles and a few other things rocking back and forth... did you actually feel it? It was a different sort of feeling.

Definitely felt it. Felt like someone shook my office back and forth for like 5 seconds. I can't believe the epicenter was so far away! 5.9 in Virginia north of Richmond, and we felt it all the way up here. They even felt it in NY. It was apparently not very deep in the ground.

I heard that you could even feel it in Chicago, which is where I live, but I was in Northern Michigan at the time and we didn't feel it there.
