So over in a thread on doctorwho I've been informed that the Season 6 teaser list from the Brilliant Book came with the following warning:

The opening for these hints says the following:

...I've prepared - you might even say 'concocted' - a miscellany of misdirection. Concealed within the following statements are a smattering of truths... Everything else is a load of codswallop - fabrication - farrago

!!!! How did that not get passed along with the damn teasers!? I am so annoyed! WTF reporters and how the heck did I not hear about this either?

I guess it does explain why so few have shown up, but damn it all to hell, I was looking forward to finding out more about all of these. Now I'm just immensely ticked off.

I've not seen that specific quote, but I remember hearing that not all the teasers were true. I don't know if that was fan speculation or people passing on the actual warning, though.
