They are too much fun. I love the line, "Are you like a tiny little slug in a human suit? Is that why you walk like that?" LOL! That first scene really shows off Amy's curiosity too, that her awe is almost immediately replaced with a thousand questions that she has been waiting 14 years to ask :D
Haha! Yeah I have been sharing them with friends. Amy is acting EXACTLY how I thought she would XD and Space Gandalf and green one from starwars just makes me so happy XD i think Eleven might have beat ten in coolness with this
I really liked the scene right after the end of Time of Angels, I think it mutes the whole WTF-factor of Amy coming on to the Doctor. It explains it really well; too bad they couldn't leave it in the episode!
Seriously! It does explain why Amy gets the wrong idea. And it's hilarious how defensive and slightly unaware of himself Eleven gets. He's Gandalf! A time-traveling, bow-tie wearing, Gandalf, ahaha!
Going from what was in the last DWM, these aren't cut scenes - they were specially created as extras for the DVD box-set to give it something a bit more exciting than usual to give people a reason to buy it. Or just watch YouTube, obviously... ;-)
Well, for all intents and purposes relative to the airing of the show, they were cut. I think the first one can definitely be seen as more of an extra tidbit, but I wish the second one had stayed in somehow because it explains Amy's frame of mind regarding the end of Time of Angels. Of course, there really is nowhere for it to go.
What I love about the Eleventh Hour scene is the fact that the Doctor acknowledges that he has companions in order to see the universe with new eyes. He still claims to be in his early 900s instead of being closer to 1,000, but he's still been around for a very long time, and when the entire universe is your backyard, it really just becomes your backyard.
I should know -- we have an in-ground pool, and for the longest time when I was little, I wanted to have a pool, but now that we have it, it's just a really big speed-bump in our backyard. *facepalm*
