hey flist, I need some software for cutting/pasting video. I want to upload a vid to youtube but it is over 10minutes and I want to cut it into 2 pieces. Any suggestions or trustworthy sites you guys know about?

ETA: hey, apparently I have something called Windows movie maker which should work...
EATA: Oh wait, these are MP4's and apparently aren't supported in moviemaker. Bah.

I'm using Movie Maker right now to edit a bunch of focus groups down to "sound bite" clips. Movie Maker is actually quite user-friendly -- surprising given it's made by Microsoft. :P

But yeah, as you mention, MM doesn't work with many file types. I had to download a program called Convert VOB to AVI (convertvobtoavi.com) to, y'know, do exactly when the program's called, heh. After converting my vob files to wmv files, it's very easy to import them into MM and edit away.
