fandom_stocking is live!

I was up until 3am or so last night, going through stuff in the opened stockings (they didn't open until 1). I was so ridiculously excited all day! I will be good for just about nothing today, except maybe going to see Sherlock Holmes with
auntiemeesh tonight.
I got some lovely virtual holiday greetings, and a review of "The Wind's Will" from
livii (how I love to get feedback on older stories! :D) and a fantastic Photo-booth snapshot drawing of Six and Donna from
infiniteviking (ten-foot lizard monsters not included). And a greeting and a musical present from
significantowl. And also, since I mentioned I liked the relationship between the Doctor and the TARDIS (yes, okay, so it is truly my OTP), I got a hilariously cheeky fic Bonds from
calapine in which Romana I calls out the Doctor on inappropriate Time Lord/Traveling Vessel behavior, and also a ficlet from
hibernate in which the women in Ten's life give him no respect ;)
Thank you so much, guys! I've had very little in the way of fannish participation this year, (
sixathon being the only recent exception, and my only other story was SCRUPLES which was written back in January), but it's really nice to still feel like a part of the community.
So as I mentioned, I managed about 5000 words in two stories this year, plus a few reviews here and there for
cot_reviews and
calufrax (which I signed up for over DragonCon weekend and only managed 2 recs, *sighs*).
But I did write nine stories for
fandom_stocking, ranging from 75 to up to 950 or so words, to the tune of about 3500 words overall! I wrote:
Donna and Mel
Ace and Rosa Caiman (from Loups-Garoux)
Nine and Turlough
Ten and Donna (twice!)
Eight, TARDIS and Time War
Nyssa and Adric
Six and Peri
Ten and Mystery Crack Companions
So I'm feeling rather accomplished (where by accomplished I mean, like, nothing to do with real life, yes, stop looking disapprovingly at me
astralagos ). I'll give the recipients time to open their stockings up first but eventually I will post the stories up here and around.
I had way too much fun, thanks
elliptic_eye for pointing me toward it!
