1. We did not have to see Randy Moss fake cry and stand up for tom brady. 2. It was a good underdog story. I was worried about this from the beginning since it was basically what the pats did to the rams in 2002 to start the whole dynasty.
Some negatives: 1. An underdog victory is much more common than a perfect season, so kind of a letdown. 18-1 never sounded so lousy. 2. We still have to listen to the 1972 dolphins say they're the best team ever when clearly they aren't - and they are totally obnoxious about it. 3. Eli Manning (nuff said)
I was thinking it would be a close game if it was low-scoring; the Giants did come pretty close to beating the Pats in week 17 by trading scores. There's no arguing that the Giants got some good breaks (ie, smiles from the Football Gods) in that game.
We still have to listen to the 1972 dolphins say they're the best team ever when clearly they aren't - and they are totally obnoxious about it.
There is that... but dude, those guys can't last for much longer, right? And then we won't have to listen to anybody...
Eli Manning... probably didn't deserve the MVP, but then again, I don't think I've ever seen the MVP award given to someone on the defensive side of the ball.
I would have given MVP to the collective Giants defense. Hands down. They held the patriots to 14 points!? I think they must have had an invisible man on the field somewhere - i have never seen the offensive line collapse so poorly before.
