Last ones...
Dec. 4th, 2006 10:19 amLast of the Regeneration Blues,
The first batch
the first seven (old school!) Regeneration Blues
Now Eight causes some contradiction
with Big Finish and novel depictions;
And just for one more
There's now a Time War?
Your best bet is reading fan fiction.
The Ninth Doctor climbs the abyss
Hand in hand with a South London miss,
But no one can say
if he's bi, straight or gay
'Cause he's only got time for one kiss.
And finally we come upon Ten,
And he goes, well no one knows when;
A placeholder's here
(I give it two years
'Til we visit this last verse again).
And that's the lot!

And honestly, two more years doesn't feel long enough for Tennant - but hey, I LOVE him as the Doctor, and I want him to have LOTS of DIFFERENT
non-Mary-Suecompanions, and fight Sontarans, and the Master, and...I'll be good. *sits on hands*

Date: 2006-12-04 07:22 pm (UTC)There is a bit of a time series trend though, that predicts later Time Lords serving fewer seasons, but a simple linear model predicts Tennant only getting two episodes next year, so the model doesn't do so well.
And, well, the rhyming scheme would actually go best with "I give it a year", but that's just too pessimistic, and it sounds even worse with "I give it three years", so two it is ;)
