Doctor Who Limericks
Dec. 1st, 2006 03:24 pmThere's a Doctor Who limerick challenge going on over at Teaspoon. So here are my entries, jotted down today in leiu of lunch...
============
In a Nutshell
--------------
A grandpa, a clown and a dandy
defer to a scarf and some candy;
while Docs Five through Eight
fuel fierce fan debate,
Nine dances and Ten is just randy.
=============
A TARDIS Tale
-------------
Now here is a Type 40 TARDIS,
She may not be the fastest or smartest;
She's not very posh
As a beat-up blue box,
But she knows how to go where her heart is.
How she flies like a kite on the breeze!
She traverses the Vortex with ease!
His anchor, his peer,
She's--CRASH! BANG!-- oh dear.
She's aeons beyond warranties.
The Doctor is done being nice,
He's wheedled, he's hammered and spliced;
There's no 'get-up-and-go'
In that old neutron flow
(and he's reversed the polarity twice!).
So the Doc's in a bit of a bind
For a Type 40 de-ionizing spectral wavefront K-beta stabilizer.
Forget lonely hearts;
It's scrounging spare parts
That's hell on the last of one's kind.
Regeneration Blues

(eta: for a little bit of word-swapping and tweaking)
