Here is a statement on the recent LJ TOS stuff. Snagged from
frelling_tralk.
I'm probably staying put. Though I do have a Dreamwidth account here, which has all my stuff imported up through the end of 2016. Though the pictures are all just links to the LJ versions. I should probably use a Photos account or something.
Anyway, if you do start up a Dreamwidth account, pls friend me?

Date: 2017-04-06 10:42 am (UTC)That said, this time there seems to be a definite uptick- a decent chunk of the flist, considering the dwindling population as it is, has moved over entirely/shifted to crossposting.
And added you on DW!

Date: 2017-04-08 02:54 am (UTC)I don't even know how to port over my LJ entries (maybe I did it years ago when I first opened the account?), not that I've really been active here on LJ... sigh. sadface.
Can you link me to directions on how to sync?

Date: 2017-04-08 11:27 am (UTC)However, I do know how to import your journal; you go to the Journal Import Page and from there it is super easy.
One thing it does not do, however, is move your pictures to be stored locally. It just makes links to your scrapbook images on LJ. At some point I will probably change that. I should probably start using Google Photos and just link pictures from there. But that will be a big move.
I am experimenting today with using the import feature twice on the same journal. It doesn't let you provide a date range, however A FAQ I read somewhere said that it should only import the newer entries if you did a previous import. We shall see...
