Playing catch-up

Today I watched "The Woman Who Lived" as well as the two Zygon episodes.
I was ambivalent about the Woman Who Lived--nothing really happened in that epsiode, pretty sure. It was the weakest of the three I watched today. I did like the idea that Ishilda forgot most everything from her early life. But the rest of it was like, a bunch of filler with a ridiculous plot and a rather pat turnaround of the main character. It had good costumes though.
I like the Zygon 2-parter much better. Actually I think the Doctor's speech at the end, with the boxes, was very affecting, one of the best parts of the season. It's not a game; it's war, done on the small scale. I don't even care that parts of the story were ridiculous, or that so many people died (though I do care about that and it makes me sad)... It felt like a proper old-school episode to me.
Also I love Osgood. I think I might be slightly biased because the actress who plays her sounds so much like Claudia Black--she has the same accent and deep kind of "creamy" voice that um, well, kind of makes me swoon. Honestly I could listen to her read the phone book all day. I love that she won't tell who is the Zygon and who is the human, even if it's the Doctor asking. And also I love Capaldi's game show host accent. And the Doctor at the end, "I'm a big fan."
