Hey, I just saw a commercial for a movie that sounds new, interesting and intriguing... Looper? Time traveling mob assassin has to kill his future self for the job? What? That might actually be a cool movie.

In other news, I made a yummy dinner tonight: most of it was easy in just eg, taking frozen panko-crusted tilapia and frozen clam strips out of their packages and heating them up in the oven. BUT I also made sauteed fresh brussels sprouts and they were GOOD. I followed Martha Stewart's recipe for the process, but I used butter instead of oil, added minced garlic and sliced shallots (well it was bigger than shallots, but smaller than plain onions, from the garden of one of D's co-workers), and mmmm, yum. Yeah, okay, not as healthy as straight steaming without all the butter, but they really did have a good flavor.

I think it should be really good. I mean, I may have a slightly excessive crush on Joseph Gordon-Leavitt, so I'm a little biased, but Rian Johnson, who is in charge of it, made a really cool movie called Brick a couple years ago (which also had JGL in it) that managed to be absurdly conceptual (crime noir meets high school drama) and low-budget and fantastic at the same time.

Just tell yourself that the butter is there to help you absorb the nutrients in the veggies!
