Well, I threw my dissertation into its most recent PDF form, then hit "Select All-Copy" and pasted all of the text into Word to check for errors. Boy did I have a lot of typos! But also Word got all the way to 1/2 way through Chapter 5 before it told me "There are too many spelling and grammar errors for Word to continue displaying them". Most of those were weirdness from the PDF copy (lotsofwordsstrungtogetherlikethis whenever a math term was in the sentence), math formulae, and strange page breaks. So I just deleted the first 4 chapters from the document and then it displayed the rest. But how many times can I mis-spell "likleihood," jeez! O_o
All fixed now, hopefully. Gonna go get it printed at Staples. Gotta think about the kind of paper I want to use; there are some pages with high color and graph content that I'd like to put on photo-grade paper, but I've no idea how to do that along with regular paper for the rest of the document.
