Italian meatballs

1 egg
1 cup crushed onion&garlic croutons
1/3 cup fine grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped fine
1 tsp minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
a bit of water to pull everything together (1/2 cup or so)
mix beef, garlic, basil, cheese, crushed croutons and salt and pepper. Add egg and mix together. Add water until it's a good moist consistency that still sticks together for forming meatballs. pat into meatballs (approx 15) and then fry them in olive oil on medium until crispy and brown on the outside. Drain. Add to spaghetti sauce or what have you (we are making meatball sandwiches with the leftover spaghetti sauce from dinner earlier this week.
