Orbis, Part 1

So I listened to part 1 of the new Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller adventures on the drive in.
They're back! And aha, I really loved this. Much much better than the opener to series 2. I love when they use aliens that would be completely impractical and ridiculous in video. This time we have jellyfish and mollusks. And oh, poor Old Doctor, separated from his TARDIS, and poor TARDIS, pining away for him and leaking into the Vortex! They are my OTP, you know; it breaks my heart to see them separated!
Sooo.. the Doctor remembers falling with Morbius but doesn't remember Lucie? I mean, I don't begrudge the writers too much because that scene was quite well done and really made my stomach sink in the way I'm sure was intended. But, I do hope the Doctor remembers. I'm also wondering if perhaps "years" on Orbis are shorter, or if maybe there's something to do with the planet itself that makes the Doctor feel like he's been there 600 years but in reality it's a shorter time (30 years maybe?). He did mention that the jellyfish species had the life spans of mayflies. Poor Doctor, marooned on a dying world, or at least, one where the climate is making life untenable for the natives. And he is very 'never say die', and he's spent how many odd years tinkering with that old capsule trying to get her to run, to get away from there.
What's up with the headhunter? She's landed in the very spot where earlier the Doctor said there seemed to be an invisible line to some kind of trailing satellite. You know she's got more up her sleeve than just Lucie Miller as a trump card for the Doctor to get the TARDIS fixed.
My only complaint is that it was too short! I only made from home up to the tunnel before it was over :( Is it next Saturday yet??!!
