I am still unsure how to feel over all...poor Doctor. He was tinkered with. His time-stream was tinkered with. His obsession with Clara in many ways is not his fault. It is not HER fault. This was not the most ideal resolution, but like with all things Doctory, it is the best at the time.
That being said, I loved the episode!! I loved the shout-outs to the different Doctors. I loved the whole damned thing! Just still trying to sort out how I feel.
As for the Twelfth...I've loved Capaldi from the beginning. Did NOT love S8 (except for an episode here and there). I ADORE S9. Every bit of it.
Loved the 'knocks four times' and how he said that always happens. A shout out to the Master, the drums, the engineering of it all by the Master, how the Doctor's heaviest moments are accompanied by four knocks...loved it.
I also loved that they acknowledge the 'half human on my mother's side' from the Eighth. Long a fandom debate. Debateable no more..unless one of them was lying, lol!!
And his...'It's only me Me.' Which everyone likely thought it WAS him, then they saw Me, lol!! That was clever. Now we'll never know if he is talking about himself. Or the lady who parallels him and yet is so human. So like Jack and yet not.
