Doctor Who 7x09
Hide and seek.
Emma looks like Sarah Jane (ETA: I should say, the way she's dressed reminded me immediately of Pertwee-era Sarah Jane). I could tell it looked like seventies. Yay, historicals!
Oh, she has the umbrella again.
OMG WTF WAS THAT THING IN THE CORNER???? Holy shit, okay, that was properly scary.
Aw, a professor and companion (sorry, assistant) who have text and not just subtext. Aw, I do like this.
The TARDIS doesn't like Clara.
ooohm History tour!!!!! I love it. OMG I love it! "Have we just watched the entire life cycle of Earth, birth to death?"
"So I am a ghost?" Oh, break my heart.
A BLUE CRYSTAL FROM METABILIS 3!
Oh dear, left behind. Oh, oh dear. And he just said it too. And the cloister bell is ringing.
If Emma dies I will be SO PISSED OFF.
OMG everybody lives, everybody lives and there are love stories told in fifteen seconds of exposition and I don't even care and holy fucking shit that monster was both freaking scary and also lovesick and lost. Poor guy.
And more mystery. The TARDIS, boy she doesn't like Clara.

Edited to add: That was definitely my favorite of the series so far. A bit of clunkiness on the whole "developing picture of the Doctor" but made up for by the pictures taken across the history of Earth. It used its settings really well, had scary monsters and Time travel and peril and psychics and good OCs and a pioneer who needed to be rescued. It was everything you could ask for and it juggled it all remarkably well.

I feel like the TARDIS not liking Clara is supposed to be a sort of plot point, since it's the second time it's been mentioned- except it seems to be more of a irritable dislike as opposed to the more violent reaction it had to Jack?
Clara's bit to Eleven was basically the most heartbreaking thing ever because ahh, it totally hits everything.
I found it odd that the Bell was ringing, although I suppose the Doctor being trapped in a pocket universe that's collapsing would count as life threatening danger.
Hahaha, I mean, it's probably hard to communicate that you're just looking for a way back to your Juliet when you can't talk and look as the monster did.
Agreed, though- the clunky bit with the pictures felt a little out of place in the narrative, but it still did a really good job with it.

I bet that monster was a handsome casanova from wherever he was from :)
