My guess is the keeling over is somehow related to the aliens and the suggestions/orders they give. Amy and River both get that way before ending up in the same close quarters as the Silents, and Amy gets that way right before she insists on telling the Doctor she's pregnant. Maybe they're both acting on orders that they've forgotten. O_o
