I think that line struck me most - that to the Asgard, their dealings with humans were little more than an idle pastime. Yow.

And on another level, I think their dealings with each other would be like that too, from so long ago. The way they've evolved into almost purely mental beings, driven by technology and little else-- makes me wonder how they view interpersonal relationships even within their own species.

Thor is wonderful, and hah! A lot more like Jack than he cares to admit, apparently.
