What I like so much about this is how it keeps me fully and completely aware of the Doctor as alien. So deeply, undeniably alien. The vastness of his ability, his perceptions, how very different he really is to us. And I wonder that he likes us at all, that he continues to interact with us, that he has - still has - such compassion for humans and other races after all the shit.
